If your bank is not mentioned in this list, then it means it doesn’t work with Google Pay yet. Open the Google Pay app and tap on your profile picture at the top right section.Here are the steps to add a bank account in Google Pay: Make sure to have your debit card handy while activating Google Pay as you have to enter the last digits of your debit card during the verification process. You need an active debit card linked to your bank account to set up and use Google Pay. Use the images below to help if you get lost along the way.It is not possible to link a bank account in Google Pay without a debit card. At the bottom of the card, you can press the See More button to see a long list of stores that will accept this form of payment. The last card in the list is one labeled as ‘Use Google Pay Neaby.’ By default, it shows you the three closest stores that will accept Google Pay including the retailer’s physical address. Basically, even if a payment terminal doesn’t say it takes Google/Android Pay, it should allow you to use your phone as a digital wallet. The first is an informational card that shows the NFC-payment icon. The last two cards will help you find stores that accept Google Pay.
Next, scroll to the very bottom of the list of cards. To see this list, open the Home tab in the Google Pay app. Once everything is ready, it’s time to find nearby retailers that accept Google Pay.
